01 — Idea
Tea ware asks for a very short distance between the hand and the object. Each bowl is thrown, trimmed and glazed with that contact in mind.
02 — Process
Pieces are pulled from the kiln while incandescent and reduced in combustible matter. The thermal shock draws the crackle and blackens the unglazed clay.
03 — Result
A family of cups, bowls and teapots with bamboo handles, made in small numbers across the years of the studio.
